SALARIES AND ALLOWANCES ACT 1975
The Salaries and Allowances Tribunal has issued a determination with respect to the position of Chief Health Officer being designated as a Prescribed Office within the Public Service.
The determination of the Salaries and Allowances Tribunal made on 20 June 2017 under sections 6(1)(c), (d) and (e) of the Salaries and Allowances Act 1975, as amended from time to time, is hereby varied by a determination set out below.
This variation is effective on and from 1 July 2017.
Insert an Eighth Schedule as follows:
CHIEF HEALTH OFFICER
Pursuant to Section 12 of the Public Health Act 2016 the Salaries and Allowances Tribunal determines the remuneration to be paid or provided to the holder of the office of Chief Health Officer.
The holder of the office of Chief Health Officer is entitled to remuneration of $493,051 per annum inclusive of salary, motor vehicle entitlements and superannuation.
MOTOR VEHICLE ENTITLEMENTS
For the purpose of superannuation the notional value of the motor vehicle entitlement is $22,650 per annum. In all other respects, the motor vehicle entitlements set out in Part 3 of the First Schedule of this determination apply to the Chief Health Officer.
